Answer - This hub on Gender roles & Sexual Preferences is my answer & views, on such a thing as gay rights in America.
- Everyone has the right to do as they feel in America today, we are all subject to consequences there after from the lifestyle we choose to lead.
- I feel that, not having children with the opposite sex, by defying our purpose of co-creation, is the issue of homosexuality, that we should be concerned about, whether its deemed a biblical law, a man made law, or any other to select a particular sexual partner isn't the main issue at all.
- What effects on the children's psyche in America, and in the world as a whole. How is it going to effect them mentally, by allowing things like same sex marriages & the promotion of such in all forms of media, as to promote their rights further. These are the things people are surely going to have to deal with and confront in the future.
- To me I focus emphasis on the long lasting affects, once something new is allowed to enter the public domain of acceptance, by us humans in society as a whole.
- Homosexuality in itself, is directly opposing our human anatomy's original purpose and design. Opposite sexes we're created for a specific purpose, thus the reason why there's a X & Y chromosome differentiation.

- Our sex was determined at birth, and I feel why try to attempt to oppose your purpose on the planet, for our very purpose is to help bring more souls into this world we live in.
- What is in occurrence today seems utterly preposterous biologically in dealing with Homosexuality, but people will do as they wish.
- Sexual intercourse was designed for co-creation primarily. Our entire bodies were designed to sustain our species, and that goes for all living beings with sexual organs.
- "I have no problem with a persons sexual preference, but I think people have lost sense of our true purpose on the planet which is to co-create."
The Biological Facts
Having sexual intercourse with the same sex voids such a purpose of co-creation, and to me its purely senseless.
The ideals, morals, cultural traditions, religious practices, and ancient laws on what sex preference is or was prior to laws changing, played a huge factor on the human psyche, & definitely on childhood psychology, & at one time or another.
Now that such a law on same sex marriages in the U.S. has been over ruled today, in some states allowing them to do so by getting married. It definitely poses many possible unforeseen issues in the future, & we have yet to see the global effects which are inevitable consequences indeed, due to changing something that may have been holding the very foundation and maintenance of the species in place.

The opposite sex confidence issue & self identity complex
People decide at a very young age which direction to choose in terms of gender selectivity, or mating selection, based on their own identification of themselves.
Self confidence issues in dealing with the opposite sex, same sex, and highly probable experiences of sexual abuse for a child, and many more factors also play a huge role in how things turn out for folks years down the road. This can be determined by many psychological studies, but doesn't prove to be the only reason for such a misplaced identity crisis of choosing the same sex for mating.
The major dominant role though many people don't realize in dealing with sexual identification, is how society has adopted to roles of both woman, and men or the masculine role, or feminine roles.
I state again this hub is an answer to a Q&A question, and isn't a debate about God, or any derivative there of, or from.

Thanks @ Kelleyward for sharing with me today, I never take sides on most issues, because I was brought up to see all sides to things by chasing down the truest facts.
I'm devoted to the maintenance and survival of our species as a whole, and in a stabilized manor of sensible order. So I always seek stable ground and the natural orders of things to provide answers to many queries or questions asked, that I've found my own personal answers for, many years back.
Hopefully others will share their perspectives on such things as gender roles, with a common goal & initiative to seek such truths.
We may actually not see eye to eye for once, let me explain...
If I read this right you are for pro creating between a man and woman, solely for the purpose of keeping our species alive.
Yet, yet, there are over 7 billion people on this earth, space is running out, children are starving, the earth's heartbeat is slowly fading. The straight couple's who can't "naturally" conceive seek the help of fertility, and then produce multiple births, while there are millions of homeless children needing homes.
I was among these homeless children needing a home, fighting for affection, living out of a suitcase, yet a heterosexual couple did not want a child that was not created within their realms. So along with myself, and millions of other abandoned children were shifted home to home. Now, if a same sex couple sought for a child, would it be right to refuse them?
If we start playing god in science labs, pro creating our ideal sex, manipulating gender genes to our desired sex of child, our we not playing with fire in nature's' scheme?
Was it inconceivable to imagine different colored humans to share the same telephone, now we face the question of gender roles. Are we heterosexuals of higher value than these humans to place prejudice to their existence? Are we not just repeating history due to ignorance and fear?
All the inspirational writing went out the window with this Hub. Sorry, but you're using rather simplistic reasoning to explain away a very genuine, well-documented phenomenon.
A small minority of people are gay. It's not "catching" and the human species is in no way in danger of dying off because 5% of us always have been and always will be gay. About 99% of ants and bees are asexual, non-reproducing females; does that mean ants and bees are nearing extinction, because they're not all reproducing?
I would hope that if you really are a thoughtful human being, you'd take the time to actually talk to gay people, understand unbiased, scientific reportage on homosexuality, and stop giving in to the nonsensical scaremongering that certain backwards religious branches enjoy propagating.
Well Jenobouka, you may find issues with my point of view and that's fine. I think God has the final call on everything in the end, whether people are making the wrong decisions or not.
If someone chooses not to believe in a Higher power such as God, then so be it. I do know that I pointed out the truth as to the biological nature, and order to gender, forget about the scientific methods, or what have you that many have tried to use to push their own agenda's biologically.
We were created for a purpose, and to defy such is to be absent of true life on earth, point blank. There is no argument with the facts of purpose, look at our organs for instance. Each one plays a specific role, and has a specific purpose.
Now imagine one of our organs that sustain our very life source, decides to all of a sudden go astray and defy such a purpose, now how long do you think you would last there after.
You may have got me wrong, I don't look to correct a thing about a persons choice, I have pointed out the fact of a misguided personal choice to defy ones birth right and organic purpose, sex organs are for bringing life into the world, not for any other purpose, & arguing that will mean your being ignorant to the obvious truth.
Man & Man having sexual intercourse doesn't give birth to a child, and vice versa Woman & Woman Neither.
This is my point here, you cannot argue that, no way no how, because the day a man can give birth to a child is the day the world wil be ruled by a Demonic force, once and for all. This is what I feel, and you cannot change my thoughts on it, nope no can do.
@ livelonger, your opinion on things is surely respected as well as Jenubouka's, but I must say that you both failed to see the purpose of such a hub. This was an answer to a question, and the originator was looking for our honest opinion. So this isn't the all time knowledgeable truth to Sex & Gender.
It is the end resultant, of my own opinions on the issues of gender, from the biological stand point and looking outwards into the future of our existence on earth.
Trends are like viruses, people tend to follow what is the new popular thing to do, its just how we are in social environments for some reason. My fear about the maintenance of our species refers to that of the future, and not our present state of things.
Look at history, its sort of like a butterfly effect that occurs over time, once something that held the true fabric of things together, had suddenly been changed, whether due to ignorance, or out right selfishness.
Some time back an American gay couple got married in a Hindu temple in Kathmandu. The Nepali media gave a nice coverage. The country law does not accept the gay/lesbian relationship, however, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender are not persecuted here.
I believe everyone must be allowed to live the way they are. I don't think gay/lesbian relationship is against the nature. Nature created homosexuals very same as heterosexuals. If you believe God created the world, then He also created gays and lesbians.
The sad thing about this article is that people will give a poor score solely on the autor's oppinion and not his writing style. In today's society, anyone who expresses disagreement with same sex marriage is branded a hater regardless. I don't agree with same sex marriage, but I do believe we can work things out for the good of all people.

Few proponents of homosexuality are even willing to consider that, although homosexuality is a natural occurrence among several species in the animal kingdom, it is, has always been and will always be a abberition (sic) a deviation from what is considered normal sexual reproductive behavior. Sexuality is powerful instinct for humanity because sexual activity...mating...is the means by which our species pro-creates or reproduces itself. The biological function is not present in homosexual behaviour, homosexuality occurs in nature only in cases where the equitable pairing of male to female mates is not possible due to a variety of reasons, or when an alpha subject animal wishes to demonstrate dominance over a social inferior animal of the same gender...which is basically the human context is considered equivilant(sic)of rape, regardless of who's dominating who. Homosexual behavior may occur 'normally' but it is not normal, it signifies serious disturbances in the fabric of humanity, in our culture and our society; whether that be overpopulation, response to other behavioural disturbances such as pederasty, the systematic sexual abuse of women and vulnerable men. I think that we all place too much importance on the act of sex and the physical pleasurable gratification it offers. Nobody ever died from not having sex. Sexual activity is, or should be a choice. Sexuality or sexual preference is self-determined. Homosexuals may choose to pursue their sexual preference, but they are not obliged by it. By making the choice to participate in homosexual acts, the homosexual accepts all the societal dogma that goes with that, because, as previously noted,all sexual behavior, including homosexual behavior, is a choice not a requirement. We all know that homosexuality is taboo. In my opinion, It should remain that way. I really don't want to hear about it...personally i say shut up about it, what you do behind closed doors is your business. That goes for heterosexuals as well.

I shared my opinion as the questioner asked and thus this hub sprang fourth, and I hope people can come to some level of sensibility, as these newer hubbers have, as to the validity of such a basic understanding about human sexuality. Not to be compared with any other species, nor contrasted.
This hub is merely addressing the gender roles in society as a whole, and the Biological nature in which we were given such sexual organs, plain and simple.
I'm glad that some people could at least admit that this much is true on such a topic, and whether or not the issues of American Courts being right or wrong, about allowing same sex marriage to come into existence, I simply have no argument to base any opinion on, in regards to that subject.
I say again I think that every person has a god given right to do what they feel is right for them, in selecting a mate of choice.

While you pull the "God" card, you did not address the questions I presented you with, on whether one might not have the choice of the matter.
Or society being closed minded of same sex relationships. As a person of God, you so wrote, this is a prime example of placing strong opinion with out directly speaking to your maker. Did God tell you in a direct voice what his opinion is? No. Are you basing belief on the bible? Ok. Which one? The many unknown realms of existence, as well as putting words in "God's" mouth is a pretty bold action.
I am believe there is a higher power for sure, won't deny that, but I respect my higher enough to not assume what they deem right or wrong.
This comment section isn't for such things Jenobouka as you are appearing to create, meaning I'm not here to answer to you about my faith in God, nor to make an argument out of it all.
You had the issue with my opinion, I addressed it in the best way I saw fit. There are only rules of respect in these comment areas, and other some other obvious regs about not promoting your hubs or html/url content.

Well words are only words Jenubouka. Like you said above to me "if this is something you can not handle then I suggest you not write them", so if you've gotten saddened to learn about my firm position & stance on human sexuality, or any of my other points of views here, that only means your human.
You actually conjured up this discussion of sorts between us two, and maybe even saddened yourself somehow, because no one can change me, your just discovering who I am.
Why does everyone have to think the same anyhow. I guess in your book of life, we all would have to, but in mine your entitled to believe what you choose to believe, I respect the ways you think, & so I can never be saddened about what drives your thoughts, views, or belief systems.

So is sex while using contraception also bad? because that wont provide children either, sex is a very natural part of the human psyche as it is with all animals if you expect everyone to have sex unprotected and only when it will provide children then I dont see that as rational because you will very quickly run into a massive issue with overpopulation (not to mention the financial strain on families). If then you agree sex for pleasure is ok (assuming you do otherwise see above) then having gay sex is perfectly fine as long as both partners get pleasure out of it.
At the end of the day though one thing is very clear, no one has any right to judge the private lives of another, or to pass judgement on what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms nor to dictate to people who they can and who they can't love.
I have several gay friends, none of them chose to be gay infact one of them in particular struggled for years in a vain attempt to be straight he even got married but his marriage fell apart because while he felt great affection for his wife he could not consumate the marriage (much as he wanted to) so to condemn people for the way they are born is pure evil, it is just as bad as condeming a man for the color of his skin or his or her gender.

Cloudexplorer! Really interesting Hub! I agree that it's important to keep things the way they were designed to be. Children come from a male and female and that is the way it has always been and I believe should be. Cute video with the kids! Loved it!
