Central Park New York
Well since I'm a native of New York City, I would invite any and all travelers to our awesome city, they can try their explorations at our best city park known as "Central Park", which is famous for showing itself in many Manhattan films showcased worldwide, nature restoration, beauty & for many social activity areas.
Central Park is also a great place to explore NYC's historical nature restorations areas, you can meet new people, and there's some pretty awesome concerts the great park has to offer during spring time & summer seasons each year, maybe even catch some cool events along the way.
There's the Great lawn or Sheep Meadow, which features a huge spacious area for group events (historically it was home for a flock of sheep back in 1864 til 1934) thus the name Sheep Meadow.
Today it serves a purpose for community engagement, sun bathers, recreation activities like frisbee throwing, hacky sack (foot bag), and many other cool group interactions, family gatherings, and social fun. Located inside of central park off of 67th Street & Central Park West.
The famous Tavern On The Green restaurant, which is a cool place where people go to dine, for tea time, and just to socialize. Located inside of central park at 67th Street and Central Park West, near the Great Lawn.
The Central Park Zoo, is a cool place located between 59th and 64th Streets, and can be visited by either bus, train, or automobile. The Zoo is open to all of the Park community, adults, children, family, and they feature many programs for tourist as well, allowing for a great experience in Central Park.
Our Lady Liberty
Satue of Liberty
Every tourist or world traveler should visit the Statue of Liberty, because it makes that of even their own great voyage to such a great historical place of New York City complete. New York City has been the most well known ports to the Eastern worlds water ways, and has allowed access to the land of the Americas via its shining ports, so all this history comes with a visit to the statue as well.
Historically our great city has been responsible for allowing immigrants from all over the globe to migrate through our ports through out the years, and the statue represents this journey, of making New York City a home for millions of people & for all whom came to gain access to the land of opportunity, true liberty, and amongst all of our core values, that of freedom & justice for all.
The statue of liberty stands for such great virtues, and is something all New Yorkers are proud of expressing in many ways, and have grown to love & cherish, as well as celebrate by paying this great statue a visit, via ferry boat ride for a small fee of, $13 adults, $10 seniors, and $5 for children. It makes for an awesome experience climbing up the spiral stairs of lady liberty, and is perfect for taking memorable pictures as well.

Great hub!!! NYC seems like an awesome place to travel! Voted up and interesting. Hope that you enjoy my hubs as well!
CE - thank you for the great tips! I thought I'd heard that Tavern on the Green was closed, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Much appreciated ~

No matter how many times you go to New York, I don't think you will ever see it all. There is so much to do, see and taste that it is always an adventure. Every time that I go back, it seems that it is (every year or so) completely different as my perspective changes!
I LOVE NYC!! I visit every summer, and what is a trip to NYC without a stroll through Central Park?? This is a wonderful hub for people who don't know NY. The one place I have never been is the Statue of Liberty (not in Central Park - lol). I have gone by it while taking a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, but I haven't had the urge to stand in line for it. Maybe this summer. Thanks for Sharing!! Votes and shares! :-)
I haven't made it to New York yet, though it is one of the places I'd like to visit one day. I will keep it in mind, especially if I decide to venture to New York one day. Great Hub, thanks for writing it, voted up and useful.
Thanks, I used to live in Brooklyn around the Park Slope area. I agree with the place you listed in this hub! Given that I'm going there this summer for vacation, I'll read your hub again when the time gets closer!
I love going to NYC (but only for a few days and then I enjoy going home). We tend to go in the winter but have been very lucky with the weather. We were there in January and had a few days where the weather was in the 50's and 60's and sunny. We spent a great afternoon walking around Central Park. There was a great acappella group (2 or 3 guys) singing under the steps at the Bethesda Fountain. With the acoustics and their method of singing, 2 guys could sound like a large choir.
We like to take in a play and maybe go to a jazz club. Went to Dizzy's Club at the Lincoln Center. Fantastic!
In the winter, some things aren't open, but those that are, the lines are usually shorter. Barely waited to go to get on the Statue of Liberty ferry and the 9/11 Memorial (try to go to both).
As Dudley Moore says in "Arthur" ".. drive through the Park. I love the Park."
